Stoic, Mysterious, and Fiercely LoyalStoic, mysterious, and fiercely loyal, CrescentClan can’t always tell right from wrong, but avoid a fight when they can. Although, when it comes down to tooth and claw, you would have a hard time escaping a fight with your life. More than anything else, these cats value loyalty, and can be very rough with cats who stray into their borders. Due to their physical flexibility, CrescentClan has the largest swath of territory, and can be known to flaunt it to the other clans. They do not trust loners, rogues, and despise the soft lives of a kitty-pets. Cats not born into the clan have been rejected as long as any cat could remember. Any outsider trying would have a very difficult time, practically impossible to succeed. CrescentClan does NOT accept Kittypets, Rogues, or Loners save for very rare exceptions. Be mindful when applying. Trees

CrescentClan cats can be found within a dense forest with large, thick branched deciduous trees. With some evergreens mixed in here and there and heavy undergrowth.

CresscentClan's camp is located deep in the forest. Where the trees grow thick. There is one specific tree that grows wide and low. Its branches wrap and curl into the air and on the ground with thick foliage. Each den was hollowed out slowly over time, expanding from previous animal burrows made by raccoons or woodpeckers. Each den was made carefully with the tree’s health and well being kept in mind.
No living cat can remember a time when the dens were expanded, the tree and dens long recovered and healed leaving no sawdust or grit and giving the dens solid thick walls inside and out. (Inspired by The Angel Oak in South Carolina) The leaders den is found at the top of the trunk, where two large branches split off. A small hole can be found in the created fork, leading down a small path with a sudden shallow drop. Few cats are ever invited into the leaders den due to its small size but those who are are alerted of the passage way. The medicine cat den is found in one of the lower branches following the ground. Its a much smaller den, easily accessible by any old or young. The two ends curve up, full of nooks and dips for herb and bedding storage. The warriors den is found to one side of the leaders, over the medicine cat den and elders den. Found in one of the thickest branches. The den twists and curves full of dips and hallows for cats to make their nests. Many younger cats pick the dip closest to the leaders den where the den is flattest until they can learn to handle the more slanted parts of the den. Its not uncommon for a cat to fall out of their nest of even the den a time or two. Its very rare this ever leads to any serious injuries past a scratch or two. The apprentice den is found on the other side of the leader's den. This den is found in a branch that starts up high near the top of the trunk and then lowers and spreads across the ground. Making it good for young cats just learning to climb. While the end has plenty of place to spread out normally you can find the apprentices all piled together at the very back of the den at its highest point. Its totally not because the dens passage is usually just a bit too narrow for their mentors to comfortably come bother them. The nursery is placed in the strongest part of the tree, the center of the trunk. The entrance is placed high up to keep out the weather, as well as making sure no kits can sneak out. The den itself is wide and rather open leaving plenty of room for mothers and their offspring. The elders den is the smallest den, found right beside the medicine cat den for easy assistance. The den is found in a low curved branch with a small climb to get to the entrance. This is to keep out the weather. The den is small but cozy, to keep elders warm and secure. |
